Although the sun has peeked out a few times this past week, it has been colder than usual here in Texas. My style is pretty classic: I love the fashion magazines and reading about all of the trends, but I am a sucker for a classic crewneck sweater and a pair of skinny jeans!
My winter favorites are …
I love these boots! I bought them on sale over the summer and waited anxiously for fall/winter to arrive. They are a splurge but worth it. I pair these with a crewneck tee and a buttondown underneath. I am a big fan of Gap crewneck sweaters. They are so reasonably priced and have lots of color options. I currently have several solid colors as well as this great stripe! This Stella & Dot bracelet is the finishing touch. It goes with everything and is so lightweight. Throw this on with your favorite skinny jeans and you are ready to face the day!
If I am feeling a bit lazy, which is often the case, I go for a sporty look. I wear this whether I work out or not because it is so comforable.
When it is cold, I live in my Hunter boots. Slip on the cute boot socks and these boots will keep your toes toasty all day long. The Nike Hyperwarm pullover is soft and comfortable. I am cold by nature; I guess it is a good thing I am in Texas. During the winter, I am cold all of the time. This pullover is great because it keeps me warm and is only one layer. I have it in black and in this dark purple color. (I am actually wearing this as I am typing.) Running Tights are a weekly staple. I know you are just supposed to run in these but they are ridiculously comfortable. I do run in them periodically but they are definitely worn on non-running days as well. I own 2 pairs of the Under Armour HeatGear Tights and LOVE them. I am always doing laundry just to make sure they are ready for wear the following day.
My husband jokes that I have a bit of a uniform. There is some truth to that given I tend to find something I love and wear it A LOT! I wear a lot of black and grey. I try to add color periodically but my comfort zone for winter includes a lot of black. Don’t worry … I will throw on a bit more color as the weather warms up!
